BOOKING AND PAYMENT
The subscription to any of the services with LIPIKO TOURS implies
adherence to the general terms and conditions without reserve.
Any subscription has to be accompanied by a deposit accounting
for 30% of the total of the services. The receipt of a deposit
implies the acceptance of the reservation, but confirmation
of a place on a tour is dependent upon spaces being available.
The balance must be paid in full one (1) month prior to the
beginning of the services, without reminder from LIPIKO TOURS.
In the event of subscription to services less than one (1) month
prior to departure the full payment will be required.
The subscription to any of the services of LIPIKO TOURS implies
the possession of an insurance policy covering repatriation
assistance. If you have paid for your flight by credit card
please check with your card provider, as in some cases this
insurance may be covered by the credit card company. If no insurance
has been purchased before departure the customer is obliged
to inform LIPIKO TOURS who requires the signing of a ‘discharge
of responsibility’ before commencing any tour. In all
cases it is important for the customer to always carry a copy
of his/hers insurance policy (or the contact details of the
insurance company) as the customer remains responsible for any
Each participant is bound to adhere to the health and legal
requirements at all times. Under no circumstances can LIPIKO
TOURS be held liable for the customer who must take full responsibility
for obtaining all required documents before departure (i.e.
passport, visa, essential vaccinations etc…) and throughout
the entire trip, including the accomplishment of all custom
formalities (for example adherence to the rules of export of
antiquities, souvenirs etc…). Failure of the individual
to present the required documents on the day of departure, to
disrespect these rules, or due to any delay (even resulting
from a case of force majeure of the air, railway or terrestrial
of which LIPIKO TOURS is not the supplier), is the sole responsibility
of the participant who is liable to pay for all related expenses.
1) On behalf of the customer:
If the cancellation is made more than 30 days before the beginning
of the services, 100% of the deposit received will be refunded.
If the cancellation is made less than 30 days before the beginning
of the services, 100% of the deposit received will be retained
by LIPIKO TOURS.
2) On behalf of LIPIKO TOURS:
Up until the time of departure LIPIKO TOURS can cancel a service
if travel is significantly impeded, endangered, or otherwise
impaired due to unforeseen or unusual circumstances (strikes,
political disturbance, safety problems etc…). In case
of cancellation that is forced upon LIPIKO TOURS the amount
of the prepaid reservations will be retained and LIPIKO TOURS
is not liable for compensation to the customer. LIPIKO TOURS
reserves the right to cancel a departure due to company internal
organisational problems, in this case a full refund will be
Given the character of the organized services, each participant
must adhere to the requests and instructions given by the guide
in charge of the group representing LIPIKO TOURS. Guides can
not be held responsible for any incident, accident or physical
injury which are a result of the initiative of the individual
customer. Moreover, each participant must be aware that there
are certain risks due in particular to the distance of medical
centres, the state of the road network, the adventurous character
of certain circuits (in particular those at high altitude, excursions
and trips in off -road vehicles). The customer acknowledges
all risks and agrees to total responsibility for any incident
and to not hold LIPIKO TOURS or anyone affiliated with LIPIKO
TOURS (guides, crew etc...) responsible. LIPIKO TOURS reserves
the right, at any moment, to expel individuals whose behaviour
can be regarded as endangering the safety or well being of the
group as a whole or other individuals within the group. In this
case no refund will be made. Good physical fitness and a jovial
nature are essential in order to carry out the services proposed
by LIPIKO TOURS. Consult your doctor for advice on how to handle
LIPIKO TOURS reserves the right to modify an itinerary in case
of problems regarding security and/or safety (climatic problems,
disturbances, social- or political problems), or simply because
of non-foreseeable transport schedule changes. In these cases
the guides are entitled to decide the changes to be undertaken
(transport, stages, etc…). Customers are not eligible
for any compensation.
All BACKPACKER programs are fixed programs that can not be modified,
only in the case of a force majeur can they be changed by LIPIKO
All TRAVELLER programs have the possibility to be changed once
(1) by the customer with a supplement of 100€ payable per
person. The modification is subject to availability (hotels,
services, transport etc...) and will only be confirmed after
acceptance from LIPIKO TOURS. The changes will be made within
the level of daily expenses per person. In cases where modifications
exceed the level of daily expenses per person, a new quote for
the tour will be supplied. The extra expenses resulting from
a new quote will have to be settled before any participant leaves
All VIP programs include one (1) possibility to modify an itinirary
without charge and a supplement of 100€ per person for
a second modification. The modification is subject to availability
(hotels, services, transport etc...) and will only be confirmed
after acceptance from LIPIKO TOURS. The changes will be made
within the level of daily expenses per person. In cases where
modifications exceed the level of daily expenses per person,
a new quote for the tour will be supplied. The extra expenses
resulting from a new quote will have to be settled before any
participant leaves Bolivia.
During air travel the luggage is the responsibility of the airline
company. Any litigation during these transfers must be directly
handled between the customer and the airline company. For the
remainder of the trip all personal belongings remain the sole
responsibility of the customer. LIPIKO TOURS takes no responsibility
for lost or damaged personal belongings.
If the route of any tour is modified due to a disturbance of
air traffic problems LIPIKO TOURS can not be held responsible.
Any resulting expenses will be the responsibility of the customer.
If external events affect the normal functioning of the country
(for example social and political disturbances, natural catastrophes
etc..), LIPIKO TOURS reserves the right to cancel or modify
any trip. In case of a cancellation the amount corresponding
to the deposit received will be retained by LIPIKO TOURS. In
case of modifications to a journey a new quote will be made
and payment required before any trip can commence.
